Listen to this chaps, went into the vw dealer today to get a couple of 1.9 oil filters. The parts person tells me that if I buy the vw oil I get the vw filter free.... Well, says I, but your oil is so expensive (vw Quantum). ....Five litres of quantum turbo diesel oil and a filter, how much? I'll tell you how much, £11.33p! Is that a bargain or is that a bargain????? Bought three!

Happy Bomber!

Off to the van centre in the morning to collect my water pipe. I will check! cool

£17.34 in Birmingham and no filter so I only bought two cans. Still a good price though as I have a small stock of filters in the garage anyway. biggrin

Yip best to buy when cheap i do like to use VW stuff however where i can and i KEEP the reciepts so it proves it was correctly serviced well almost a file of docs always helps sell any vehicle learnt that a long long time ago in my Mini days i keep every reciept for every part i purchase and they all go in the vans folder, can make for scary reading sometimes but great for next owners benefit.....

was in Inverness again today and bought another 5 litres of quantum turbo diesel oil and a filter for £11.03. The invoice ahows the filter at zero cost, just paying for the (discounted?) oil.

If the weather's not doing the sideways wet thing tomorrow the red van gets fresh blood.
