So what if we cant get site that allows fires but will allow an off the ground fire

Do we have any options/Ideas ?

I saw guys @ BVF with ol washing maching drums probably paying a fortune for something you can get for penuts or even free, this does however create a problem of storage when not in use if we choose to go this route but does mean a full on barby though very flame grilled & charred biggrin

is an off the ground fire a solution or a problem, does anybody have the storage cpacity to store one or two of these ?

Also the heat side for cold meets Two would really be required to keep us warm I think then we could sit inbetween them to keep warm & then there is the fuel for it not so bad today given that you can buy bags of wood now.

Any Ideas Sugstions cool

the washing machine drums are cool good for cooking spuds on the rim, just use the pulley that is on them for the stand to keep it off the ground

I truly think this is the route we should be going down as whichever way you look at it more and more campsites are dissin campfires so unless we are all going to have a wild-camp together you will never get sites willing to allow it everywhere we go.........

There are plenty of old washing machines lying about all over the place, council tips, side of roads, wooded areas close to you........

Why not try going skip raiding or be a Womble its great fun and amazing what you can find one mans rubbish is anothers treasure after all surprised
