Not my cup of tea but each to their own i suppose B however it does raise the point that really like Rob we should all be raising our hobbies, passtimes and special events we attend if for no other reason as general knowledge and who knows maybe some of us might have more than Transporters in common well done Rob lets see a bit more of this kind of thing guys....

I have to say however there are much nicer T5 versions sadly about that would far better fit the bill the upside is we are both T4-T5 clubs so we could get away with a T5 all we need now is someone to buy one .....anyone offering

All in all a great day out was had by me & I will do it again & I think Mand’s wants a go in a normal artic so that should be fun, a few T4’s made a wrong turn into our area so I grabbed some pics for you all.

Only ever once been in any form of artic and i wasn't driving but there is a story [tell a lie i used to hitch hike but that was when i was when i was 15-16 and i'm now to old to remember anyway] so onwards .....

A good friend worked at the time for W.H.Malcolm the well known Scottish eqivalent of the Stobart chain [maybe] the job was going from Glasgow to Inverkeithing in Fife which passed without incident nice drive being that high up and seeing everything, you dont normally from car!! so to the laoding bay he had to reverse down a driveway the width of his truck for what seemed like miles and was a good bit from the road, and into a shed with a door literally the width of his truck then i was ordered out as it was loaded but first...the trailer was extended to its max 70ft i believe and a 20 by 70 ft weighbridge was loaded ekkkk you could literally see the truck sink it was on every max it had :o

And so, off back to Glasgow through the minute village of Inverkeithing and onto the M8- M90 and into Glasgow city now came the fun part dragging it through the city, its a wonder how several cars didnt loose their roofs in honesty its only when your in such a large vehicle you actually get to see how stupid some folks are at traffic lights creeping down the inside and such like, the truck is sitting in the middle for a reason "NUMPTY" it was truly astounding how many drivers do not understand that a truck can not stop like a car nor manoevere like one either for that matter!!!! it taught me a lesson that is still with me today some 25yrs later which is a respect for large artics and such like but more importantly if such has an escort its for a reason as we didn't it wasnt mandatory in those days sadly, but would of made all the difference the drivers back then had to know exactly what they were
doing ........

Scary stuff so now i give EVERY artic a wide berth and am patient with them.....even the foriegn ones even although after watching 5th gears feature on them scaring me still further....
