I tried closing the side door the other day and it would not close properly so had to lock it manually and drive home with a drafty van..

had a quick look the next day and traced it to the door catch not engaging properly, so ordered another from a breakers of ebay.

went to try and tie up the door the next day and it has closed properly, so have left it well alone until i can have a look tomorrow..

is there any issue with the catches or do they just wear out, obviously something wrong with it but when left all night it will close properly.

havent tried to open and close it again in case it wont shut again....

Hi mate. Not come across this one. The only trouble I get is when stuff falls into the little gap at the bottom.

if it closed ok b4 then could be frozen or something in the sliders or lock may need greasing
if its been off then it will be an alignment issue.

it worked a treat on my n/s door infact too well as it revealed another T4 fault when it locked itself with the keys in the ignition & the engine running.
