Mooted this last weekend between ourselves at Norfolk so for those that have been asking for an Octber meet, Lake Gwynant in the foothills of Snowdon is the venue. No need to book this one as it's just a turn up and camp. 21st and 22nd of this month.
Good for kayaks and boats but maybe a bit cool for swimming by then.
We will get there late ish on the friday

We can make it for sat morning at some point. no good us arriving friday as it will be too dark to set up.
We could arrange to stop at the premier inn in shrewesbury on friday & finish off the rest sat morning we could also stay till tuesday morning.
Mands works for a school so cant take school days off

So far I will be there the friday and Rob should be turning up on the Saturday. maybe more as we get closer. Appreciate the difficulty with the shifts as both Rob and I are shiftworkers. Would be good to see you so feel free to come and join us on the Saturday if you get the chance.

Slight problem I seem to be harbouring an injury from what i dont know so not entirely certain as to wether i will attend or not.
I wont be able to Paddle so if I do turn up will have a spare boat available & if I do will need help to put the tent up & take it down.
Im just hoping its not as seriouse as i fear it may be
will have to see........

Yea can always help mate no probs I remember the last time I helped put up an awning it was sideways rain it was the first time it went up couldn't find the instructions I think the vodka helped

All back again now and a good time was had by all as usual. Though Rob and I seem to have caught something that prevented us drinking on the Saturday night.
Good to meet John and his family who joined us on the Saturday from Conway with his T5.
The weather on Saturday night was drastic with high winds and rain whipping up off the lake but did not pose a problem for Rob and Mandy's new igloo.

A bit like lake Oct on the top of a hill in Matlock last year then (might be best to NOT let Rob arrange these meets) lol I stil have nightmares from then and our pop top swaying in the force 10 Gail we faced that weekend .......
