Anyone got any handy tips on this one? Trying to fit clear lenses. Having removed the inner wing to gain access to the back of the unit it will not budge solid as a rock. Why are the simple jobs so ****** awkward!!!! angry

By placing a small screwdriver between the body and the light at the rear(nearest the doors) and prize off forwards they are very tight to get out

no not a screwdriver say goodbye to paint cool

depenting on type
the ol square ones just twist 30 dergrees or so & pop out
oval ones have a solid clip one end & a push in clip on the other use a plastic trim tool to slide in & push in the end & pull it out.

or wrap some tape around a slim electrical screwdriver or butter knife biggrin

The screwdriver works buddy simply use a cloth between the paintwork to pad the bar of the screwdriver if you see what i mean ...on the corner of the wing and the light unit apply gentle pressure and it will release

Soz thought i had added that bit surprised

As far as i can make out they are only held in on a sort of slider that just requires a prizing to get out i will again ask my T5 guru who has changed many to see what he says, in case there is a knack to it all but above is hwat he said when first asked .... surprised

I have put some clear led repeaters in my T5. A screwdriver in the end with a bit of cloth.
Out they came. Looked great for two weeks now they have water in and I can't get hold
of the place where I bought them. Will not answer the phone. Does my head in.
They still work but its not the point.

Purdie
Did you remove them from the outside or via the inner wing?

From outside buddy thats the way its supposed to be done ??? if its stuck maybe try squirting some penetrating fluid on the rear side which might just help ?

come off from the outside. 2 seconds. No rubber seal on the bulb. They have 3 led lights in a sealed unit.
Just put some connecters on and away you go. looking good. biggrin
